Adam Garcia takes the cool role of GerryGarcia left university to take the role of the Slide in the production of the musical Hot Shoe Shuffle, which toured Australia for two years before transferring to London, England. Garcia stayed on in London to act in West End musicals.

Garcia’s career as a film actor began in 1997, when he played Jones in Wilde, a film about the life of writer Oscar Wilde. Garcia played Tony Manero, in the stage version of Saturday Night Fever, which ran from 1998 to 1999 in London. Garcia reached No. 15 in the UK singles chart in 1998, with his cover version of the Bee Gees song “Night Fever“, taken from Saturday Night Fever. Garcia’s second feature film performance was a major role in the 2000 film Coyote Ugly. later in 2000 he played the role of Sean in Bootmen, a film based on the Tap Dogs story. Also in 2004 he played a role alongside Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox in the film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen as the character Stu Wolff, a drunk rock star, who is part of the band “Sidarther” and he is in Lola’s words “a greater poet than Shakespeare”.

Credits include BBC’s New Tricks, Tezz – a Bollywood thriller feature film starring Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) with an international release and a supporting lead role in Born of Hope (Lord of the Rings prequel), which has been a major online success with over 30 million hits. Howard played opposite Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly) in comedy feature film Caffiend last year and, with a US visa to his name, filmed TheCure in LA earlier this year. Short film A Friend Indeed, featuring Howard as the lead actor, was nominated for Best Drama at the Limelight Film Awards in London in June 2014.

Jonathan Gershfield to direct ‘Party Pieces’

Jonathan takes the reins from Ed Bye, who has had to withdraw due to family ill health.

A post-graduate in film and television from Bristol University, Jonathan launched a career in commercials, making over 750 around the world and winning golds and silvers at Cannes, New York, Chicago, San Sebastian, Kinsale and D&AD.

Since moving into TV comedy, he has directed several high-profile series including ‘Trollied’, ‘Hebburn’, ‘Dead Ringers’, ‘Wild West’ and ‘Big Train’, as well as the popular children’s comedies ‘Sadie J’ and ‘My Life as a Popat’, both of which were nominated for BAFTAs. 2008 saw the release of his feature film ‘Three and Out’ starring Colm Meaney, McKenzie Crook, Imelda Staunton and Gemma Arterton, which went on to win 15 international awards.

Jonathan co-wrote ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’, selected for the Royal Film Performance in 2008 and starring Burt Reynolds (also featuring in ‘Party Pieces’), Sir Derek Jacobi, Samantha Bond and Imelda Staunton. He is currently developing two other screenplays ‘Infidelity’ and ‘Bernie’s Gift’.

Douggie Henshall seen here with co star Kate AshfieldHe is  a Scottish actor probably best known for his role as Professor Nick Cutter in the British science fiction series Primeval and Jimmy Perez in crime drama Shetland. In 1993 he appeared in Dennis Potter‘s television adaptation of Lipstick on Your Collar. He also portrayed T.E. Lawrence in a reoccurring role in the American television series Young Indiana Jones (1992-1996). One of his first successful film roles was as Edgar in Angels and Insects (1995) before going on to star in Sharpe’s Justice (1997), Orphans (1998), The Man with Rain in His Shoes (1998), The Lawless Heart (2001) and Silent Cry (2002). He has also starred in many television series and is known for his roles in Psychos (1999), Kid in the Corner (1999) (for which he won a gold nymph as best actor in a mini-series at the Monte-Carlo TV festival in 2000), Anna Karenina (2000), and Loving You (2003). He has also performed in plays for BBC radio, including the role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (1999) and David in The Long Farewell (2002). In the summer of 2002, Douglas returned to the London stage where he performed the role of Michael Bakunin in Tom Stoppard‘s new trilogy of plays, The Coast of Utopia, at the National Theatre.

He played Marcus in the post-production British comedy film French Film, alongside Hugh Bonneville and Anne-Marie Duff. Henshall also starred in Dorian Gray (2009) as the doctor Alan Campbell.

Music Supervisor Kevin Godley starts work on ‘Party Pieces’

Paul and KevinMusic legend Kevin Godley of 10cc and Godley & Creme has begun work on GlobalWatch’s forthcoming feature ‘Party Pieces’.

Following a production meeting in Dublin with producer Paul G Andrews, Kevin has begun work on developing themes for the score as well as identifying source tracks for the film.

PARTY PIECES is the first feature film to be produced by GlobalWatch Films. Principal photography begins on June 2nd on location in the Home Counties, England. The film stars John Hannah (‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, ‘The Mummy’, ‘Sliding Doors’), Martin Kemp (‘The Krays’) and Sofya Skya (‘Assassins Run’). Ed Bye (‘Red Dwarf’, ‘Kevin and Perry Go Large’) takes directing duties.
